We have been in the Hunter Valley for generations.
Our story is influenced by both of our family’s love of the land. Sheep graziers, stock and station agents and astute stock men and women, we have been in the Hunter Valley for generations.
Our Grandfather and legendary horseman, Carl Mitchell, bought one of the significant historical stock horses 'Doreen' in the early 1930's for 60 pounds.
An excellent station mare and campdraft horse by Sylvius (who placed in the Melbourne Cup). Doreen produced some amazing horses including 'Dimray'. Carl and Dimray would go on to score a record high 93 in the Royal Easter Show Campdraft and held that title for several years.
Carl's influence is still alive and well today not only with his families continued enjoyment in the sporting arena but our genuine love and attention for horses.
